Meet Literary Maiden Editing
My name is Louise and I own Literary Maiden Editing. I am a prolific reader and lover of all books as well as being a book editor. I have a Masters of Teaching and Learning (English), a BA (Hons) in English and a BA in Classics and History. I love to learn and my whole goal in being an editor is to help my clients story be the focus, to make an impact.
My editorial service style is very collaborative, as I work with my authors as a part of their team. I value communication, collaboration and clarity throughout the editing process.
My perfect day is reading outside with a nice drink - I am a passionate tea drinker and love finding new kinds. Before starting Literary Maiden Editing I was a secondary teacher and then a stay-at-home mama. I still spend as much time as I can with my little girl, but when I am not with her I am either reading, finding new books to read or baking.
I love all types of books and would love to be a part of developing new works. For novels and short stories I am comfortable with most genres but I set the line at books involving cheating. This does not mean multiple partners but rather infidelity. That does not mean I am opposed to 'clean' romances or other genres so feel free to message me any questions you may have about my book editing services.
I also provide a wide range of corporate and article editing.

My spaces fill up fast and usually a while in advance so check back here for changes or feel free to contact me.
2024
The year (for me) is almost over as I reach my third trimester. I will be going on maternity leave in October (earlier if this child doesn't stay put) but will still be contactable through email.
